Boardwalk Village
This project was one that we were able to really see come to life – from the initial concept meeting and vision board planning to branding and building. Brand It Marketing worked with the team at Boardwalk Village from the very start, where they shared their dreams of bringing the relaxed, beachy vibes of Florida right here to Mercer County. Our team had the opportunity to help develop the name, build the brand (including the re-branding of Boardwalk Grill) and build a solid foundation for all of their marketing initiatives. We created a marketing strategy for their launch that included custom script, video, print, website and digital marketing. It has been a lot of fun to see this brand continue to grow!

Creative direction
Our team brainstormed different name options to encompass the overall vibe and energy the client was trying to portray with this soon-to-be hub for living, vacationing, sports, food, drinks and other entertainment. With a goal to offer both locals and visitors an all-in-one experience in a walkable, community-based environment, our team presented the concept of “Boardwalk Village” with inspiration boards on the brand vision. We began with designing logos for Boardwalk Village, Boardwalk Grill and Boardwalk Living.

We wanted to mimic both a boardwalk and sunset

hand-drawn illustrations

When it came to designing the main logo for Boardwalk Village, we knew we wanted a hand-drawn logo with a unique spin. We took their team’s architectural renderings for their cottages into the design software and expanded each of them to create the custom look we were going for.
For the other logos that fell under the Boardwalk Village hub, we continued with the hand-drawn effects, but flipped the sunset element to water, so they mirrored each other. Boardwalk Grill had a special element – the tugboat. This was brought into the restaurant and turned into a pizzeria. Adding these custom pieces to each logo helps make the brand stand out against a generic logo someone could pull quickly online.
After the brand was created, our team began conducting interviews with potential customers and formed customer profiles. We took our findings, paired with the client’s goal to continuously grow and evolve, and developed a marketing strategy and timeline for launching the big reveal. This included incorporating detailed strategies for social media, videography, advertising, email marketing, website and billboards.
Custom websites
The team at Boardwalk Village came to us for their website needs. We’ve created the online presence for Boardwalk Village, Boardwalk Grill, and their new facility – The Shipyard. We’ve had a lot of fun carrying over the energy and colorful brand elements to their digital presence and hope to do more with their team as their village continues to grow.
